Wind River Loop, days 3-6

We headed out from Upper Jean Lake and gained about 300’ to pass by Elbow Lake, and headed to Summit Lake. Summit Lake was in a big flat area, and we knew that the weather was turning bad. We found a decent campsite nearby, and set up tents just in time to sit out a hailstorm. The hail came down hard for 10 minutes, and left the ground white with hail. My tarp had a few cups of hail in a fold, but kept me dry inside.

On day 5 we headed down past Trapper lake to Glimpse Lake, and camped in an area of dense tree fall near the lake.

From Glimpse Lake we headed down to our car at Willow Lake, with good views of the huge Fremont Lake. Pinedale is located at the end of Fremont Lake.
