Handle for Ulu Knife

We were in Alaska and saw a lot of Ulu knives for sale. Some came with a cutting board with a depression that fit the curve of the blade, and we bought one. At home I bought a blade for $15 or so.

Then all that was left was to put a handle on it. I made a couple of prototypes, and settled on a pretty simple handle shape. Its in 3 layers, with the middle layer being maple and the same thickness as the tangs. That way I could glue the 3 layers together with two sockets for the tank, finish the tang without the blade, and attached the blade later. The green is green G12, which is a resin, making it waterproof and not subject to splitting.
